At the beginning of lockdown, Etch & Pin's Aaron Ashmore contacted me about starting a project together. Aaron had the idea of creating a children's book which told the story of Lady Godiva, an icon in our home city of Coventry, and wanted to combine my style of illustration with his writing in order to tell the tale.
The story is one of courage, empathy and selflessness, things we can all apply to our daily lives in all corners of the world, and if we did, then perhaps there would be considerably less conflict, and a lot more love and kindness.
I'm very grateful to Aaron for giving me this opportunity - this project really helped get me through the lonely feeling of lockdown and the response to my work on this book has been better than I ever could have dreamed. Thank you everyone for your continued support.
